3/ In practice: a rights holder registers a recording as Tokenized IP and attaches license terms. An AI agent making a video finds it, verifies it's permitted to use the track, and acquires an agreement in one transaction, all through ERC-8432.
Register once, license everywhere.
SBI Holdings and Startale Group have joined @openstandard.
Together we are advancing interoperability between JPYSC, the trust-type yen stablecoin issued by SBI Shinsei Trust Bank, and Open USD, a shared dollar stablecoin for global financial activity.
One topic that caught my attention at TOKEN2049 was non USD stablecoins
The Beyond the Dollar panel discussed whether cross currency settlement really needs to go through the dollar every time
This is where the role of Startale and JPYSC becomes interesting to me
Through the Soneium ecosystem @StartaleGroup is working on infrastructure that could make real world use of local stablecoins like the Japanese yen easier
If payments and settlement between different currencies can happen without always going through the dollar it could reduce a lot of cost and friction
I think this is one of the more interesting use cases for stablecoins
The future is not only about USD stablecoins
Local stablecoins like JPYSC could also play an important role in the future of cross currency payments 🇯🇵
Digital Bond → JPYSC → Startale App → Soneium → Onchain Economy.
Startale sedang menjembatani keuangan tradisional Jepang dengan dunia onchain, menjadikan stablecoin bukan sekadar alat pembayaran, tapi bagian dari infrastruktur ekonomi digital. 💿
Quick recap from this week’s Startale community call 👀
A lot of interesting things came up in this week's call, so let's go through what caught my attention.
First, ERC-8432.
This one is really interesting, especially for the future of Tokenized IP.
Just imagine u create a song or artwork, and an AI wants to use it. How will it know if it has permission or what rules it needs to follow?
That's the problem ERC-8432 is trying to solve by making IP licensing easier for both humans and AI agents to understand.
@0xRamz also encouraged artists and musicians to join the discussion, not just developers. There will be a deeper call next Wednesday too. Definitely keeping an eye on this one.
Next, JPYC bonds in Japan
Startale shared an update about its JPYC-denominated bond, built with SBI's involvement. The idea is to bring real bonds onchain and explore new ways for companies to raise funds.
It's mainly for the Japanese market, but it's interesting to see onchain finance moving beyond just trading tokens.
K-pop and entertainment 🎵
The team also talked about DayOneDream and its work around K-pop IP. The idea is to bring fans into the ecosystem, support the IP and create a way for value to flow back.
K-pop is just the beginning, with more entertainment use cases planned.
Morning Pocket 🎮
The campaign is still running, with an extension mentioned until October 19. The team also showed some in-game activity from the community. Nice to see people actually engaging with the game.
A little update for the Soneium family 💿💜
We now have 52 Ambassadors from 23 countries!
One thing I liked from the discussion is that helping people matters too. It's not only about bringing new users. Explaining things, creating useful content and helping people stay active are important as well.
Some other updates:
🔹 Startale Safe uses multisig security for better protection of larger funds.
🔹 Around 6K people have verified in Discord, and the team is working on keeping the community active.
🔹 Startale App's wallet upgrade needs attention. Check the migration details carefully, especially for old SBTs, Star Points and LP Vault funds.
Overall, lots of things are moving across finance, IP, entertainment and the community.
That's it from this week's Startale call. What caught ur attention the most?
At the Stablecoin Summit SG (@stblcnsummit), @cypher_nk discussed how non-USD stablecoins can enable cross-currency settlement and the role of JPYSC in bringing yen-denominated stablecoin payments into real-world financial use cases.
Welcome Soneium Ambassadors 💿
52 people from 23 countries, joining the community bringing Tokenized IP and onchain entertainment to every corner of the world.
