Praying for Jacob Blake, his children, and his family.
It’s not enough to paint slogans. We need systemic change: ending qualified immunity, changing budget priorities, investing in communities harmed by overpolicing, and more.
The solutions are out there. We must act on them.

Don’t mail ballots in. Drop at board of elections, or your City Clerk's Office. This is an inside tip from a friend who is a postal worker. "Can’t say any more than that."
I was talking to someone about planting food and fruit trees in public spaces and they were like “Why so everyone can steal the food?”
And I was like “See, that’s the problem right there. Why should taking fruit off a public tree be stealing?”
I am the protestor named here who may face life in prison for allegedly buying paint. My co-defendants are facing the same charges as me for similarly low-level allegations.
This is political repression — the state wants to silence dissent. Don’t let them. Be loud.
I've resigned my fellowship at Yale's Thurman Arnold Project. The director, Fiona Scott Morton, revealed that she’s a paid adviser to Amazon & Apple. I think that makes it hard to achieve the project’s goal of creating a space to grapple w/ the antitrust implications of Big Tech.
The @NYCMayor & @nytimes justified the violent raid of Abolition Park by saying there were homeless people, not protesters.
This assumes that homeless people can't be protesters and that spending billions on policing instead of housing isn't EXACTLY what this movement is about.
This narrative that black people who want an accurate reflection of history are "angry and resentful" leaves us with one logical takeaway:
White people don't want to know history because they can't handle the truth.
A thread.
The officer who killed Rayshard Brooks is out on bond. Breonna Taylor’s killers still haven’t been arrested. The army is covering up the murder of Vanessa Guillen. Elijah McClain’s murderers were mocking him at his vigil. The fight isn’t anywhere near over.
Everyday you wake up you should remember there’s someone incarcerated for something they did in 1970 and I want you to remember that this fight is against institutions that are built on dehumanizing people to enable them feeling better about putting profit over human lives
Breonna Taylor’s name is no longer trending and the police that murdered her are still free. If you see this please reply/quote/tweet on your own.
ARREST BRETT HANKISON, JONATHAN MATTINGLY & MYLES COSGROVE FOR THE MURDER OF #BREONNATAYLOR
Please don’t stop talking about Breonna Taylor until justice is served. They broke into her house with no warrant looking for a suspect that was already in custody, murdered her, refused her mother rights to see her body, and are currently on paid leave... I’m really just... wow.
