Not everyone can live on Gillespie Rd (as was) or Benwell Rd (these days). Lots of people travel far now.

Getting on tubes was a nightmare, due to the sheer number of people involved and the fact that neither Holloway Rd nor Arsenal station were built for this volume of people.
@DerekXMorriss79@cheedz05 I WFH full time an invested in a gym standard treadmill for this reason. Much better that dealing with delayed trains and busses.
@thisisayes@cheedz05 Some do. Those who are already motivated and would have the gym or whatever as part of their daily routine if they were in the office.
This is about those who don’t but benefit from walking on the commute. Easy to do 7k steps a day without thinking about it
