@lawyer4SMBs No, you're right. The disconnect here is that there is an assumption that you can never be away or unreachable... which isn't realistic.
Auto-replies serve a purpose.
@imThomasMorales Instead of complaining about the fees, the first thought should be: "How can I continue to increase my earnings this way" and THEN "how can I use this transaction volume as leverage to lower my Stripe fees"?
Focus on growth & then cut down on costs.
@cdolan92 While I love PGH & choose to be here, it still has considerable issues for tech companies, with funding & non-product talent availability being at the top. To your point though - there is PLENTY of opportunity with smaller, slow growth companies.
@cdolan92@girdley Adding a video requirement (even if it is only 30 seconds) is the best way to filter out 90%+ of the applicants.
It will make your recruiting process a lot easier.
@girdley No busy successful person is looking for short-form video clips either. Unless the video clips find them.

@randomrecruiter Are we sure that federal workers can seamlessly transition to the private (or tech) sectors?
Under the assumption that they are qualified, I think there is going to be more sandpaper than anticipated in the transition process.
@CBarrett_CPA From a combination of years of discussions, understanding who they were as a person, what goals they want to achieve, seeing if they had the work ethic, and slowly teaching them the business prior to the sale if they were interested in learning.
By the end, I would know.
@_robyn_smith I'm always been a fan of squarespace if you want something simple & you're optimizing for speed. I've also heard many people like Carrd. Otherwise, start checking out the GPT-like platforms that will build a 2-3 page site for you.
@SMB_Attorney@nathan_e_hill @PacificJD Is it good? Yes.
Is it great? No.
I've worn one for a few years and enjoy the data it collects while I use it as a tool to keep me accountable and track various metrics for the goals that I have.
But if you're expecting the world, you'll be disappointed.
