The Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)
✅ Fast
✅ Pray
✅ Give
✅ Remember Allah
✅ Sacrifice
Let’s make these days count.
The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are the best days of the year for worship. Some scholars have even mentioned that they are more virtuous for worship than the days of Ramadan, although the last 10 nights of Ramadan would be considered greater for worship. (Lata'if al-Ma'arif)
How does this equal a year of fasting?
In Islam, every good deed is multiplied by 10 (Qur'an 6:160).
Fasting Ramadan (30 days) = 30 × 10 = 300 days
Fasting 6 days of Shawwal = 6 × 10 = 60 days
300 + 60 = 360 days, which equals a full lunar year of fasting!
Eid Mubarak from Jamiah Qasimul
Uloom! We hope you have a blessed Eid-ul-Fitr filled with love, peace, and happiness. Our gatherings in Eid are a reminder that together we can do more!
As the last ten nights of Ramadan arrive, one of them holds the immense blessing of Laylatul Qadr—a night better than a thousand months. Seize this opportunity and consider donating to JQU during these blessed nights, earning rewards that will last a lifetime.
Spend in the last few days of Ramadhan and make it a (sadaqah jariyah) continuous charity in your lifetime. The Prophet was the most generous of people and he was even more generous during Ramadan when listening/reciting the Noble Quran. https://t.co/Rzacp1KcEu
Suhoor strengthens both body and spirit, supports fasting, and brings you closer to the Sunnah. Even a sip of water carries reward, reminding us that Islam is about balance, not hardship. It encourages Qiyam & Fajr, making it an act of worship when done with the right intention.
The first divine command revealed to the Prophet ﷺ was not to pray, fast, or give charity—but to read. The initial five verses of this surah were the first revelation. In it, Allah ta'ala highlights the central role of knowledge (‘ilm) in Islam.
Ibn Kathir رحمه الله explains:
These verses are from the first of the manifestations of Allah's mercy on His servants and the first of bounties bestowed upon them. In it He informs us of the beginning of humankind and His grace by teaching man what he did not know.

Intentions define the worth of our actions—so what is our true purpose this Ramadan? The Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed, actions are judged by intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what he intended.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
For example, studying Islamic sciences can be for personal growth and for the service of the Ummah. Ikhlas Over Quantity, A small deed with sincerity outweighs a large one performed heedlessly.
The Umm al-Qura calendar places a psychological pressure on observers that often leads to false sightings.
