The platforms at Stratford where the Jubilee comes into are semi-open-air, semi-glass-topped. There’s always a strange double-coding of inside/outside in modern station design, and when it rains you can really sense the different spaces

It’s called ‘Stratford Station in the Rain’, and it’s the first so far in a suite inspired by my time commuting in London.

It’s also about processing anxiety and/or excitement, and finding beauty in the city.
