WHY ARE TEACHERS LEAVING THE PROFESSION?

•Inadequate preparation for new teachers

•Increasing student misbehaviors with little to no accountability

•Lack of parent support

•Lack of district support

•Exorbitant class sizes

•They are worked to the bone with no extra/overtime pay

•Low salaries

•Standards are a moving target

•Teach to the test philosophy

•Their time isn’t respected

•Better opportunities elsewhere

School districts are currently concerned with ‘The Great Resignation’.

Wait till they see the ‘Never Applying in the First Place’.

For real though.

The name of the first PD of the school year for all educators should be…

‘What the hell can we do to make sure you like your job and would make you want to stay?’

[Help A Teacher @HelpATeacher]

Do you agree?

Ideas for independent projects designed for seventh grade language arts? Looking for ideas that will not appear as the students being in TWO language arts classes per day. These projects need to be high-student interest!

Oakland’s @lil_jmoore34 is a total class act. Here’s what he left for fans at their seats Saturday afternoon, for his final game at the O’Rena.
