BREAKING: Former President Donald Trump has just lost an emergency attempt to block former Vice President Mike Pence from testifying about their direct conversations with one another.
Details:
- This development comes as part of a federal criminal investigation examining Trump’s and others’ actions following the 2020 Presidential election.
- In the special counsel’s investigation, witnesses who are close to Trump have been repeatedly blocked from providing certain information despite his efforts.
- The unanimous decision from the DC Circuit Court of Appeals likely will usher in Pence’s grand jury testimony quite quickly.
- It is possible that Trump could try to appeal again and even try to send it to the Supreme Court.
- Pence has already stated that he was not appealing the decision, and would actually comply with the subpoena.
- Investigators looking into the attack on the US Capitol have been particularly interested in the conversations between Trump and Pence in the days surrounding the event.
How worried should Trump be?
BREAKING: Rep. Jim Jordan has taken the House Judiciary Committee on a field trip to New York City to perform theatrics by attacking Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg in defense of disgraced, twice-impeached, former president Donald Trump.
His goal is to attack Bragg's record on crime. The problem with that strategy is Ohio's statewide homicide rate is 49% higher than New York City's rate of 5.8 homicide deaths per 100,000 residents.
Additionally, Jordan himself refused to comply with subpoenas on January 6th, and has been accused of knowing about the molestation of dozens of wrestlers but doing nothing about it.
Drop a💙if you agree that Jim Jordan should focus on his own grimy backyard and shattered glass house.
#BREAKING:Turns out, per MSNBC's Alex Wagner(subbing for Maddow), that the House Oversight Committee has obtained records Trump's former accounting firm(Mazar) submitted to Deutsche Bank to obtain a $170 million loan for the construction of Trump Hotel DC. Uh oh!!
