Mandating AM radio receivers on electric vehicles is like forcing consumers to buy TVs with rabbit ear antennas.
EVs have better access to local and national AM programming digitally...
.@BGOV: Pioneer Public Affairs, whose client list includes @FeedingAmerica and @nexteraenergy, reported a 93% jump in lobbying revenue it reported from 2021. The firm started small in 2020 and has grown to a staff of 15 from just three. https://t.co/8c8m7VEE5D
If battery packs were the size of baseball bats, and Ample was the first to market I could see the merit. But as it is the remedy is impractical, even if there were more than zero U.S. EVs capable of battery swapping.
It’s a tough business model when for you to succeed, everyone else has to be wrong. No U.S. manufacturer sees the point of battery swapping and it solves for a ‘problem’ that is tiny proportionately compared to what would be needed to make Ample real. https://t.co/1DIWGt0HvR
Pioneer Public Affairs is excited to host the AAPIs in Clean Energy Fireside Chat with @USDOT Director @Lynda_Tran in honor of celebrating Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Please register (https://t.co/jKKv8xaLOW) to join us on May 24th!
Pioneer's President, @JRBinDC, speaks at 'The Future of American-made Clean Energy Technology Conference' — hosted by @EximBankUS. He's excited to discuss cleantech w/ reps from @SEIA, @PlugPowerInc, and @AquatechIntl.
“What we realize in American politics is that the economics drive nearly everything. I don’t think we’re going to get to 100% #EV sales off of emissions reductions, although those are very important. It’s going to have to be the economics,” @JRBinDC, Exec. Director, @zeta_2030.
“We’ve seen two major investments for battery manufacturers. @Panasonic announced a $4 billion investment in Kansas, so it’ll be 1,000 jobs. There’s a $3.2 billion investment that LG announced in Tennessee, about 1,000 jobs there,” @JRBinDC, Exec. Director, @zeta_2030
My predecessor made a string of broken promises in places like Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio – where promised investments and jobs in manufacturing never materialized, but layoffs and shuttered factories did.
On my watch, we keep our commitments.
@OGFC3 Even 10 out of 7000 is dramatically less than the percentage of ICE vehicle fires under even normal circumstances. And saying there is ‘no way’ to put it out is patently false.
This reports on 10 thermal events out of 100,000 EVs in Florida during extraordinary hurricane flooding. NHTSA estimates out of every 100,000 internal combustion engine vehicles that 1,530 start on fire each year just during normal operation.

⚡️ZETA's statement on $2.8B in new grants for U.S. battery supply chain:
@JRBinDC: "This is what getting serious about competing w/ China, developing a robust #EV supply chain, and leading the world in clean transportation technology looks like." 🔋

“Every community must have a seat at the table to make sure there is equal opportunity to thrive in this dynamic new sector, & the best way to do that is to partner with vital organizations like COMTO.” - ZETA's @JRBinDC
