@Safoualo @PicoTheFennec @rubynesoberi Now, just because it can run GBA games natively, I don't quite see how that takes anything away from the decomp. Just because it can run GBA games natively doesn't mean you can leverage dual screens doing that. The decomp is it's own thing.

@Safoualo @PicoTheFennec @rubynesoberi The GBA games from the ambassador program actually do run natively. The 3DS basically has the original DS chipset at its disposal, so it can leverage that to run GBA games in the exact same way the original DS did, at a hardware level.

In my case, I'm trying to make a set of glasses frames that can be edited and printed. Would this be able to make my existing designs parametric?

@TFHypeGuy @TFAdvanced125 That's my annoyance with it. The limbs are a marked improvement over the original voyager, but I feel like the torso looks way worse from the photos so far, like the whole thing is 1 step forward and like half a step back. I'm hoping it will look better to me in person.

@Tubesmith @TFHypeGuy @TF_Moments My Kingdom copy yellowed horribly, and my Gen Selects has absolutely horrible tolerances. Ferak seems to have been the best overall release of the mold just consistency-wise. Kind of darned if you do, darned if you don't.

Taiwan solved tax evasion in 1951 with a trick so cheap it should embarrass every tax authority on the planet.

The problem was an all-cash economy full of small shops. A merchant pockets the cash, skips the receipt, and the sale never existed. Auditors can't catch what was never recorded, and hiring enough of them to watch every noodle stand costs more than the missing tax.

So finance chief Ren Xianqun flipped the incentive. Print a lottery number on every receipt. Draw winners every two months on live TV. Top prize today: NT$10 million, about $310K.

Suddenly the customer and the shopkeeper want opposite things. The merchant wants the sale off the books. The customer wants the ticket. And there are millions more customers than merchants. Every transaction now carries a built-in witness demanding the paper trail.

Year one, reported tax revenue jumped 75%, from NT$29 million to NT$51 million. Seventy-five years later, roughly 70% of Taiwanese still play. Convenience stores redeem the smallest NT$200 prizes at the register, so even a coffee receipt feels like a scratch card.

The elegant part is what the audit force costs. The prize pool runs about NT$7 billion a year, roughly $20 million. In exchange, the government gets 23 million unpaid auditors working every checkout line in the country, forever. No inspector general on earth delivers that coverage at that price.

Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Slovakia all copied it. The most effective compliance tool ever built looks like a game, and that's exactly why it works.

@cryptidarling @Moth865 I don't hate it, but the whole art style just makes me feel kind of uneasy, and somewhat confused, you know? There aren't many other games I know as well as Link's Awakening, and even ignoring the odd lack of analog control and being unable to use the dpad, it just felt wrong.

@NeonMicron I am an absolute sucker for anything modern that does a toy inspired deco. That is basically all I get from Newage, and I wish more companies did it more often. As for G1 toys getting modern color schemes, I could take it or leave it.

The lone star ticks have been slowly moving to colder areas, and it's not out of the question that our local ticks have already started carrying the molecule also.
