The Cosmology Researcher Talks database hit a milestone today of 10,000 links to publicly available talk/lecture videos, data from 212 sources. 2020s avg is 1,218 /yr.
A fun project & a good way for me to learn more, I'm pleased if it's useful to you.

Latest DESI (+CMB +SN) data got you spooked? Seeing ghosts and *phantoms*?
Don't panic!
@Primeval_Arhsim is here to reassure you: "No phantoms are needed by current observational cosmology"

Tried SearXNG and liked it so much, installed it on my server rather than use a public instance. AI agents can use its API to add web search for real-time data. It aggregates results for user selections from 200+ search services. Free, open-source, no tracking or profiling.
Advancing Field-level and Simulation-based Inference for Cosmology, Perimeter Institute, June 8 - 12, videos + slides
Cross-disciplinary workshop of "cosmologists, statisticians, machine-learning practitioners, and high-performance-computing experts"

@BahramShakerin Perimeter does such a nice job - usually quickly posting talk videos & slides. This Cosmological Frontiers annual event is aka the Triangular Conference - hosted at Perimeter in 2026, APC in Paris in 2025, and U of Edinburgh (Higgs Centre) in 2024. The series started in 2008.

Thanks Swagat for posting this, nice to see a new #cosmology channel become available.
This 2nd episode was preceded on March 6 by Surhud More on Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Gravitational Lensing.
My interview at 'ASTRA Talks' Episode 2: I discussed about the old Big Bang Theory, Early Universe, Primordial Black Holes, Pulsar Timing Arrays & GWs, Academic culture across Generations, Diversity in academic, AI & Physics in this podcast wt Manan Sharma

@CburgesCliff This made me wonder how young mountain goats learn to climb so skillfully. Found this from the Oregon Zoo. Well, it's baby steps cute, but it's a start. 😆

7th edition of this series held every 3 years.
Topics: early/late universe, GWs, astrophysical messengers of new physics
Usually I can quickly fix software config problems. But tried fixing a Docker compose yaml problem, spent hour+ wading thru iffy GitHub & tech forum "solutions". Browser AI immediately knew right answer with just issue description, clearly identifying what caused the problem.
Ever suspected a paper you’re reading is AI slop?
You can now turn on AI detection mode on alphaXiv to visualize what is written by an AI and what is not.
Now available for every research paper indexed on arXiv.
Integrated with the latest detection model from @pangram 🚀
