#NEWJEANS_IS_FIVE
The biggest danger here is that ADOR could potentially make Dani financially responsible for losses involving the entire group, even though she’s the only NewJeans member they’re suing.
This is why the concept of non-genuine joint and several liability is so concerning…
If ADOR calculates its damages based on NewJeans’ lost revenue as a five-member group, it could argue that Dani’s alleged actions contributed to those losses. I think ADOR might push to hold her responsible for the entire overlapping amount, not just one-fifth of it.
But that doesn’t automatically mean ADOR can do this. They still have to prove that Dani is legally responsible for the damages they’re claiming.
The other concern is how ADOR calculates those damages. Are they looking at losses caused specifically by Dani’s alleged actions, or are they including projected revenue from group activities that never happened? The court needs to distinguish between what NewJeans could have earned as a group, what Dani allegedly caused, and what losses can actually be computed and proven.
It is also important to note that the judge said that the court needed to distinguish the Min Hee-jin effect. The judge also questioned whether an accountant's appraisal, using a limited comparison sample, could adequately establish relevant loss. It was also mentioned that some requested materials concerning planned group activities had not been fully supplied to the appraiser at that point.
Another scary thing is that if ADOR succeeds in establishing a broad theory of liability, they could potentially use that reasoning in future disputes involving the other members. Take note of that. If ADOR gets their way, they could easily come after the other members too. That wouldn’t automatically make the other four liable, but it could give ADOR an argument to use against them later.
There’s also the practical side of things. A lawsuit of this scale can make companies and potential collaborators hesitant to work with Dani, even before the case is decided. So the damage isn’t just about the money she might eventually have to pay. It could also affect her career and future opportunities.
The real question is this… if ADOR’s claimed losses involve all five members, why is Dani the only member being sued??
ADOR may argue that Dani’s alleged conduct was different from the others’. But they still need to prove that those differences justify the damages they’re claiming.
Non-genuine joint and several liability isn’t a free pass to make Dani pay for everything that happened to NewJeans. They can’t simply take a group-wide loss, attach it to one member, and expect the court to accept it without establishing the legal basis.
That’s why the damages calculation and the question of individual responsibility are so important. We need to see exactly what losses ADOR is claiming, how they calculated them, and why they believe Dani should be held responsible.
Because at the end of the day, a massive damages claim is not proof that the defendant actually owes that amount. The evidence and the law still have to support it.
Once you realize what HYBE/ADOR is doing, you begin to see how they’ve casually weaponized the Korean justice system, turning it into their own personal “disciplinary department” to punish anyone who dares to stand up against them. 😐
I see people justifying posting the girls' photos/clips without their consent saying it's just the way it is... that NewJeans aren't the only celebrities who experience this.
Regarding this, I want to say a few things:
1. If you think this isn't just a NewJeans problem and you'd rather look away and tolerate it, then you are part of the problem.
2. Even celebrities deserver privacy.
3. Fan encounters aren't always nice and cutesy. There are bad and crazy people out there who might use the information you share.
4. Consent is consent. It's yes or no. No in between.
5. Bunnies strive to be better for our girls. If this is normal in other fandoms... Here, it's not. We honor our girls' wishes. And if you think we're the bad people for doing that, then you are free to leave. Most of us genuinely care about the peace and safety of our girls on their free time.
Today's news is worrying. The government is shamelessly getting involved in HYBE's personal vendetta against an individual. This should be a wake-up call and raise serious concerns. Ktokkis should call out the government more.
can the judge throw this shit out already they are trying to drain her
And accusing her of being accountable for the suspension of their activities?? They FIRED her and then SUED her, after the judge ruled they had to go back under the agreement there would be No retaliation. They are the ones that keep delaying and requesting extensions and refusing to submit evidence of anything. No way these judges are going to believe this victim BS.
The company should be the ones under scrutiny of the law for retaliating against the girls when they werent supposed to. It was ruled that the girls and their previous CEO was within their rights to question the company.
@UpdatesNewJeans I will never forgive the cruelty and injustice this rotten company is inflicting on Danielle using her as a sacrifice, stripping her of her greatest dream and torturing her psychologically and financially! FREE MHDHH
JUSTICE FOR DANIELLE

Ador failed to provide evidence of Danielle's alleged breach of the exclusive contract.
Their approach is to shift their claim to hold her responsible for the damages caused by the suspension of NewJeans' group activities, which is completely absurd considering they were the ones who expelled her in the first place, making it unfair to accuse her of being unable to carry out the group's activities without her.

This is sad. Newjeans legal team essentially saying they were confident of winning the appeal, but accepted, at the time, upon members wishes, that their career could still be salvageable at Ador as they were too mentally strained to return to court. Look at the situation now.
country. Furthermore, they acted in an unreasonable manner by submitting personal information and documents requiring the individual's signature to relevant authorities without consent, only notifying them afterward, which cannot be understood as normal practice.
It’s heartbreaking to see ADOR and HYBE put Hanni’s birthday playlist behind a paywall.
Hanni has always gifted us playlists on her birthday. It’s one of the ways she expresses her love to Bunnies. It’s practically her love language. What started with a simple letter and playlist in 2022 became a little tradition that Hanni and Bunnies shared every year.
And now, that gift is being turned into paid, exclusive content for Weverse subscribers. (What’s sick is they probably know that no real Bunnie would be subscribed to Weverse.)
I can’t help but feel like this is another attempt to create distance between the girls and Bunnies. They know how meaningful these little traditions are to us, and yet they’ve taken something that was freely shared as an expression of Hanni’s love and locked it behind a subscription.
It’s not really about a playlist. It’s about what that playlist represents.
Hanni chose to share a little piece of herself with Bunnies every year. That was her gift to us. It hurts to see something so personal and meaningful turned into another piece of money-making exclusive content that fans have to pay to access.
ADOR locks Hanni’s 22nd birthday playlist behind a Membership paywall on Weverse.
She previously shared her playlists with fans every year on her birthday for free.
ILLIT suddenly rebranding as 4 members — Spotify artist photo too — didn’t happen in a vacuum. It lines up perfectly when ADOR signaled NewJeans’ return through magazine shoots and brand reactivations. HYBE needed NewJeans to look “active” again to rehabilitate their image. (1/6)
@PopEmpirex They’re just annoyed because their company is getting a lot of criticism, they don’t actually care about media fairness. HYBE stans have been spreading, and boosting misinformation about NewJeans from known cyber wreckers, and the many pro-HYBE k news outlets for years
Through the NewJeans articles we are about to release.
We hope that ADOR can reflect on what NewJeans really is and how big it is as a group and do the right and ethical thing.
One of our posts had an impact on them actually doing something and fixing their mistake on social media.
We appreciate that but there is a lot left, if they're only going to listen to criticism that gets a lot of views.
We will give them exactly that.
We hope that they understand that every like, comment and retweet on the posts comes from NewJeans supporters.
Not malicious haters or evil monsters, just people who want the best for the artists.
They got rid of her so they wouldn't have to pay the put option. In the end, they spent a ton of money trying to defeat her, lost, and now they have to pay her the put option. That's what happens when you don't listen to what a woman says
