Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you. ~L.R. Knost
@barrywatts230 Deuteronomy 10:19 (NIV): "And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt".
John 13:34-35 (NIV): "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
@barrywatts230@BraddrofliT@ErnieMillsJr Leviticus 19:33-34 (NIV): "'When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God'".
@blockxs@Acyn As a recovering catholic, I can confirm that statement. Also, saying you’re a Christian doesn’t equal goodness or that you’re living as Christ told us to live. There’s a whole lot of Christians who don’t follow Jesus’ command to love one another as he loved us.
@jon_stinemetz And THEY get to determine which medical conditions “qualify” to use that as treatment? Boy, repubs supposedly want less government but they sure want to have a control over people’s medical treatment, don’t they?!
@rickychecko @kitty6180@Resonance1919@nursekelsey As a certified teacher, I can tell you her question was absolutely appropriate.👏🏼 The goal of teaching is to develop critical thinking, allow exploration, & guide to facts. Her question would cause him to explore his own & others’ eyes to answer, learning anatomical facts.
@kerkman_terry@WillFlandersWI@win95gui@MidwestMaven414 Private schools don’t require teachers to be licensed. Tax dollars shouldn’t go to schools following different standards with no public oversight. Our 2 kids went to private schools - no public funds. The schools used fund raisers to provide aid for families based on need.
@GCapital_LLC Legally, negligence is failure to behave with the level of care that a reasonable person would have exercised under the same circumstances. Negligent behavior consists of actions or omissions (when there is a duty/requirement to act). It doesn’t need to be egregious or reckless.
@mrsnickhodge@Toaster_Pastry That was not my interpretation of the tweet. I’ve left a number of doctors who are too myopic into their own specialty and haven’t considered my holistic care. Perhaps my personal experience influenced my interpretation. 😊
