@Cleo_Petricek Do you have a day job?
We’re not enemies: we’re both politically active. We’re trying to improve things. If you want to act like opinions are only valid if they come from people who satisfy your minimum virtue requirements, that’s your choice, but you’ll only alienate people.
@Cleo_Petricek Oh, come on. It’s the standard, contemptuous, holier-than-thou social media response of an active person. I’ve used it myself.
I am a precinct chair. I’m working to build community and engagement in my own little slice of Austin. I work on campaigns. I participate actively.
@RealAJonez@DocumentingATX@elonmusk What you do with your freedom of speech is revolting. No business owes you a platform. You’re a financial liability.
@chiproytx Representative Roy doesn’t want the dangerous, threatening antics of his more frenzied supporters prosecuted. He supports criminal right-wing intimidation tactics.
@chitovela3 @atxecho What’s remarkable about that 75% number is that it’s consistent across decades and cities. However, as the responses show, no matter how many times this *fact* is confirmed, people still insist on prioritizing anecdotes that (falsely) confirm their contrary opinions.
@Noahpinion That’s ridiculously reductive. The fact that China is a massively centralized authoritarian state that brooks no opposition is far more significant.
@GregAbbott_TX Stop congratulating yourself on overpolicing a non-existent problem while your party triples down on rigging elections through gerrymandering, voter suppression, and enabling authoritarian takeovers of local election administration.
