Encouraging the goalkeeper to dribble into space, provide an outlet or join in attacks to create attacking overloads?

I'm sure at first goals will be conceded but with time, practice and an emphasis on development over results could an Ederson type of keeper be developed?

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

Excellent book by @PeterPrickett I highly recommend.

With our U6s we have concentrated on 3vs3 practises with the focus of being comfortable in 1vs1 situations and duals.

What are your thoughts on using a 'fly keeper' like you would in futsal in the 5vs5 game at U7s?

It’s official we have been promoted and will play at Step 6 for the first time in our history.

We look forward to joining the CCL.

@gillard_charlie Cheers. The boys played really well and moved the ball nicely today. Even gave myself a cheeky 30 minute cameo!

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

I’ve enjoyed my first taste of management the past two weeks. Made a few mistakes along the way (left the first aid kit at home last week).

Lots of positives on the pitch though, playing excellent football at times and recording 2 wins out of 2 with 9 different goal scorers ⚽️

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@trevbenj Appreciate that Trev. My apprenticeship isn’t finished yet, I’ve got so much to learn from Steve! I was planning on retiring this summer but not sure I’m ready to let the armband go yet 😂

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@TootingBecFC @WestsideFc_ Thank you for the kind words but was only temporarily in charge as the manager has been away on holiday. Will be glad to hand the reigns back next weekend and continue as his number two.

Well the season was a testing one but we finish with a 4-1 win vs Battersea Ironsides.

The future looks very bright with the young players coming through.

Thanks to all of our volunteers for their efforts in 2017/18

Our debut appearance in the FA Vase

Saturday 9th September 2017

Westside FC vs @SteyningTown

The Mayfield Stadium, CR7 6DN, 3pm KO

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@Cheekidaniel Both quality. Steven has gone under the radar a little as not played for the first team until last week.

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@Cheekidaniel Yeah he has a twin called Steven who plays right back for our U23s.

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

How are Fulham turning down a £25mil bid for Ryan Sessegnon. I would accept it but send Spurs his twin brother. They would never know!

[Westside FC @WestsideFc_]

We have drawn @SteyningTown at home in the FA Vase.

Tie to be played Sat 9th September

@whyalwaysjacko @JoshuaWalters37 I've got one last season in me then I'll move into the dugout next to Steve. I feel excited about this year the squad looks strong!

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@whyalwaysjacko I remember when I was the youngest at Westside. Now I'm the veteran! Time I handed the armband over to the next generation @JoshuaWalters37

[James Richards @jrnumber3]

@whyalwaysjacko Second oldest 👀
