Shout out to @mtaibbi for having the courage to be one of the few people in your business to actually have the integrity to not become a partisan hack gaslighting your audience to keep your job and access to power and actually tell the truth
A referendum in rural Wisconsin to call for a national health insurance program vastly outperformed both Mandela Barnes and Tony Evers.
Many Wisconsinites voted for both Ron Johnson and for single payer. From me and @lhfang https://t.co/z9TNkS2ena
.@CultureShlock Rural, Red County in Wisconsin passed a National Health Insurance referendum. @jimmy_dore

In rural Dunn County, Wisc., #MedicareForAll “was the most important issue on the ballot. When you look at the total number of votes that were cast in this race, the referendum issue had more votes cast, total, than any other race.”

John Calabrese reports the referendum for publicly funded, non-profit, nat'l health insurance passed in Dunn County WI with 51.4% of the vote.
Healthcare fared better than the Democratic candidates.

Know what would help voter turnout? Inspire the youth? Ease division and the disdain most Americans have for all politicians? Genuine passion and concern like this👇🏽
Is there even 1 US politician who comes close to her fire?

Good morning.
Western security experts say there's a 10-25% chance Russia will use nukes in Ukraine. Biden: we're closer to nuclear war than any time since 1962. Russia and NATO are conducting "long-planned" nuclear drills. US is threatening full retaliation.
Have a nice day.
Want to learn about organizing for national single payer in rural communities? Watch the webinar we hosted last week with Supervisor @jroccocal and Dr. Lorene Vedder, two Dunn County, WI leaders at the forefront of the movement for national single payer: https://t.co/7LMENcUCxm
"As a Dunn County Supervisor, I have seen over the years how much money the county--one of 72 in Wisconsin--pays each month for health insurance for its employees.
"What I was seeing were numbers around half a million dollars a MONTH." ~Supervisor John Calabrese @jroccocal
This referendum wouldn't be possible without the power of grassroots organizing.
