This was called offsides by the officials, taking away Michigan State’s recovered onsides kick.

This was the fourth suspicious call (or no-call) going against MSU in this game. Just a stunning day for the refs in this MSU - Illinois game.

[Fireball sommelier @Sheehan_Sports]

MSU isn’t helping itself but I am now wholly convinced we are watching a fixed game after that call.

No other way to explain that flag.

Jonathan Smith is a good man who took a chance on our program when our situation wasn’t desirable. He moved his family across the country to a new place and never once complained about the situation he entered. Players and staffers loved him, I am wishing him success

Excited to join @Pitt_ATHLETICS as the Senior Associate AD for Brand Advancement & Chief Marketing Officer! Grateful to @_KyleBruce and @AGreeneIV for the opportunity to be part of something special. #H2P

Michigan State HC Tom Izzo summarized things well after the Elite 8 loss to Auburn:

[Corey Robinson @C_Robinson247]

I was off work the last week, so I have not weighed in on it yet.

The reason Dusty May likes to continue to talk about the incident at the end of the game is that it distracts from the fact that he got ran out of the gym and that he was completely out coached in both games

[Brad Logan @BradLoganTOC]

What a job by the Ole Miss marketing team, led by Matt Smith (@3msmith).

They’ve been phenomenal this season and finally get a chance to utilize the night sky.

[Jacob Smith @jrsmithz7]

Is this game being coached by Mel Tucker?

[Brad Logan @BradLoganTOC]

What a night inside the SJB Pavilion.

A tip of the hat to the entire Marketing/Production team led by Matt Smith.

A special shoutout to Aaron Howard for creating an insane environment last night.

#Lions OC Ben Johnson informed the #Seahawks and #Commanders that he’s staying in Detroit, per sources.

Johnson is still only 37 and will be a hot head coaching candidate again next year. But first, he wants to take another shot at bringing a Lombardi Trophy to Detroit.

[Mike Greenberg @Espngreeny]

Everything you can do to give away a football game, the #Lions are doing.

[Mike Greenberg @Espngreeny]

If you’re a #Lions fan, you waited a lifetime for this night, and now you’ll spend the rest of that lifetime thinking about what could have been.

I love the team, the coach, the culture, everything. But this was an epic collapse. Tough to watch.

[Mike Greenberg @Espngreeny]

I know everyone loves Dan Campbell going for it all the time.

But leaving a 17 point lead in the third quarter on the table is a tough decision.

Also, Goff has missed two wide open touchdowns - this game should be over.
#Lions

[Matt Barrie @MattBarrie]

Spare me the: “it’s who he is! It’s what makes him great!”

Your job is to win the game. Even if you stray from a tendency that got you there.

[Bovada @BovadaOfficial]

Lions fans telling Dan Campbell to kick the field goal

[Justin Spiro @DarkoStateNews]

I mean.

Take the 3.

[Gavin McHugh @gavinmchughh]

False Start?

absolutely insane call to change momentum of the game.

[Mitchell Schwartz @MitchSchwartz71]

And on another look the ref definitely turns his head towards Decker and nods at him, and then immediately proceeds to report Skipper as the eligible one. Keeps getting worse for the ref in my opinion.
