We live in a society that loves feel good stories about people coming together to help members of their community that are in need, but scoff at the idea of building a system based on that very same concept.
All emerging writers schemes should include writers over 40 – writers can emerge at any age, and women writers especially are frequently prevented from taking up writing until later in life (as we well know)!
