The final part of the corrupt Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) puzzle that has not been covered extensively (anywhere) is that fact that one law firm, Young/Sommer, has a near monopoly over foreign solar representation in New York State.

Right now, as we speak, Young/Sommer represents over 40 large-scale renewable projects in the ORES/Article VIII pipeline, and at least 18-20 permitted ORES solar projects.

Fort Edward Solar is one of the projects in their pipeline.

Every single time a ruling was issued for Fort Edward Solar, Young/Sommer would file their briefs at the same time as the Department of Public Service (DPS), and coincidentally, the DPS and Young/Sommer had almost identical briefs.

It was announced last week that Dean Sommer, managing partner at Young/Sommer, is now the new Zoning Board of Appeals chair in New Scotland, New York.

I was raised in New Scotland.

For incoming votes on solar complexes, battery storage energy systems, and other "renewable" developments they want to implement in New Scotland, wouldn't it be a significant conflict of interest that Dean now gets to vote on the very projects that benefit his renewable energy law firm?

No one has covered this monopoly probably out of fear for calling out a powerful law firm.
