Mandelson’s messages to Patrick Vallance are really telling. Two kindred spirits doing Big Pharma’s work at the expense of the NHS. No one voted for this. Rescind the Pharma deal.

That makes me think of suffragette Bertha Brewster’s letter to the Daily Telegraph in 1913:
Sir, Everyone seems to agree upon the necessity of putting a stop to Suffragist outrages; but no one seems certain how to do so. There are two, and only two, ways in which this can be done. Both will be effectual.
1. Kill every woman in the United Kingdom.
2. Give women the vote.
Yours truly,
Bertha Brewster
Just your boring old reminder
That they broke the Ministerial Code
I know there's no rules for Labour, but maybe ignore their sanctimony - they are the scum.
Today’s Climate Scam update.
Sainsbury’s will stop selling brown eggs because (wait for it) “they have a lower carbon footprint than white eggs”
Yes just when you thought things could not get any more ridiculous under ‘Net Zero’ they just continue to surprise.
Sainsbury’s should be careful though, choosing white eggs over brown eggs could result in being called ‘waaaycist’😉
Modern medicine's approach to digestion, summarised:
- Heartburn after eating
- Take an antacid
- Still burning
- Step up to a proton pump inhibitor, long term
- Settles up top, but now bloated and miserable lower down
- Standard advice: eat more wholegrains, up your fibre
- Bloating gets worse
- Try a probiotic
- Still bloated
- Add a fibre supplement, on top of the wholegrains
- Worse again
- A second supplement to settle the first
- Refer to a specialist
- Specialist recommends low-FODMAP, a long list of plants to stop eating, wholegrains very much included
At no point in this entire cascade does anyone suggest the radical step of removing the foods that started the hurting. We will tell you to eat more of the bloating grain, then sell you a powder to fix the bloating the grain caused, before we'll ever say "perhaps just stop eating the grain."
We will add nine things to your shopping basket before we'll subtract one.
There's a reason for that, and it isn't your health.
When Blair changed the Police Oath many of us said that it was the thin edge of the wedge and an enabling act to shift the police from their traditional role of serving the law to serving the political class.
Sadly we were correct.
The news from Hampshire gets worse. An independent Polish specialist has reviewed Harry's post mortem report and concluded that death wasn't necessarily inevitable; and that the actions of the police may have contributed directly to his murder.
As yet no police officers have been arrested.
I will take no lectures about being angry and full of rage from the very same people who lost their shit in 2020 over a convicted criminal at the other side of the world.
Who can forget the “mostly peaceful” George Floyd riots?
I find it very ironic that the left accuse the right of causing division when it’s the left who want to divide us up into groups and sub groups and treat those groups differently.
Just treat everyone equally.
Same rules to apply to all.
Why is that so hard for our politicians and our institutions to understand.
A little boy goes to his dad and asks:
'Dad, what's Politics?'
Dad says, 'Well son, let me try to explain it this way:
I am the head of the family, so call me The Prime Minister.
Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.
We are here to take care of your needs, so we will call you the People.
The nanny, we will consider her the Working Class.
And your baby brother, we will call him the Future.
Now think about that and see if it makes sense.'
So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.
Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him.
He finds that the baby has severely soiled his nappy.
So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep.
Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room.
Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny.
He gives up and goes back to bed.
The next morning, the little boy say's to his father,
'Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now. '
The father says, 'Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.'
The little boy replies,
'The prime Minister is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit.'
Farage terrifies MPs because he speaks for millions. Henry’s father did not tell people to light a candle or not look back in anger, he did not say they shouldn’t be angry. Farage speaks for those treated as second class citizens in their own country.
Bridget's breakfast clubs won't reach a single kid who actually needs one.
The children who'd actually benefit from breakfast clubs have parents who can't be arsed to get out of bed.
So Labour's taxing struggling families to fund Frosties for kids whose parents won't wake up is just grrrreat.
It's cheaper to say you feed them than admit the household's broken. But the children who really need breakfast will be the ones whose parents don't take them.
Meanwhile Bridget's doing a victory lap of institutional negligence.
You're not helping working families.
You're parenting around the ones who've already clocked off.
