Thank you to my supervisors @Jojofinchers and @Alisounjm who have been amazingly supportive. Thanks to my examiners who made it an enjoyable experience and to @NIHRSSCR for their support through my career development award. Looking forward to next steps and sharing my findings!
I’ve seen pictures Laughing Boy’s justice quilt so many times but nothing prepared me for the impact of its power in real life. Pianist courtesy of St James’s Piccadilly where it is hanging.
Just seen this play at @JSTheatre - it will stay with me forever. What an amazing performance filled with sadness, love and the desire to campaign for justice. Go and see it if you can.
Tender, beautifully written & performed play @JSTheatre about Connor #laughingboy and a family who fought for him in life and death. Brilliantly conveys cruelty of how the state responds to its failure. A must see. You will rage, cry, laugh & be inspired to demand change.
50% of people taking part in remote meetings multitask during the meetings (and we are doing more of it). Here is an excellent research-based article from @asana to remind us why we should try not to multitask. It's bad for our productivity & our mental health. It creates burnout: "Every single time we switch there is a cost. It's draining. It's taking longer to do the same thing".

@neilmcrowther I am totally shocked by what such an influential charity has done. Just can’t fathom it. Thanks for sharing the lovely clip of your dad.
@MorrissLisa Thanks Lisa, the book itself has been so helpful to me so hope I can encourage others to use it. Hoping to submit my PhD in a few months and then I would love to write an article for QSW.
For #WSWD2024 tomorrow, here's a guest blog shining a light on the contribution of and potential for #SocialWork in care homes https://t.co/BZE3hPAAym "This should be fertile ground for social workers...to support and advocate for a largely invisible and disempowered population."
Delighted to see this in print- New co-authored publication led by @Alisounjm 'Admission of an older person into a care home in Europe: exploring the dimensions of a ‘Healthy Transition’ and the potential role of social work' @ENGSW_ESWRA@UCDSocialPWJ https://t.co/Kgv0Llxx3W
