“As a new resident of 550 Fifth Avenue, you should be aware that this combination of sky-high and extra skinny produces the following unique (we like to think of them as ‘exclusive’) conditions within this building.” https://t.co/FSAyWABlwq
Good: Soil holds 2-3x more carbon than the atmosphere.
Better: Soil can hold even more with small changes to how we farm.
Best: By nurturing their soil, farmers in India fight climate change & save precious water! #WorldFoodDay2022@nature_org

This makes it a death trap for migratory birds like warblers and kinglets. Please consider adding a bird-visible film or light sandblasting to eliminate the reflections of sky & habitat in the windows and reducing the reflective quality of the glass. @NYCAudubon
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Yi-Fu Tuan, a prolific scholar whose contributions to the study of place have inspired and informed generations of geographers. He will be deeply missed.

@thedeadlydonald @LadyWeldon1 @SecretaryPete@therecount The total tax burden of US resident is 40%; now add health care, child care, and education and we’re likely higher than Danes. However, we get less for what spend. I’m not arguing to become Denmark; rather, our current political and economic approach should be reconsidered.
@thedeadlydonald @LadyWeldon1 @SecretaryPete@therecount 1. I live in Texas, just drove through those places yesterday. 2. Denmark’s size is irrelevant to my point: they seek solutions to mobility/ infrastructure challenges of urban-rural gradient, hence a train system that evolves based on capacity needs.
@thedeadlydonald @LadyWeldon1 @SecretaryPete@therecount Establish regional train and bus services that expand and contract as needed (like Denmark). Rural areas are great places for sidewalks and bike lanes, too; also EV charging stations. There are solutions if rural America would move beyond “no, can’t, don’t want to.”

@BeauTFC @ShadyQuadey0 If we had listened to Carter in the 70s—-or even Gore in the 90s—-we would have been the leader in the green economy, energy independent, and we wouldn’t be facing a dire climate/ ecological crisis.
