@novikoff I'm intrigued by Chord Maker any chance I might be able to join your testing community? Have a light music production background mostly using Ableton and some synth and drum machine VSTs
@iamjakestream Seems like there is some significant bias in here. In what world is price transparency a bad thing? We’ve seen it before (e.g. Airbnb) and users prefer it. I’d guess you would disagree with anything Mamdani does
It’s wild seeing the contrast between Katy Perry or other similar products when they were relevant and what people like Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo are doing now. Pop music has an amount of nuance I don’t think I’ve ever seen in real time as an adult before
@jeremymstamper@ashleevance DMT is a more controlled, shorter experience and still absolutely terrifying to me in theory. Knew a guy who went a bit to far with it and started talking a lot about aliens and otherworldly lifeforms for months, just kind of dropped off
@MoskitoByte1@christopherrufo secondly, how do you get information? TV? Radio? far worse than google. Also a lot of progressives have moved pass google to Perplexity and LLMs and do actual research.
@MoskitoByte1@christopherrufo what the f kind of logic is this? have you considered perhaps that google prioritizes reputable sources and that most global news is wise enough to caution americans against Tr*mp? you hold an extremist point of view that luckily will never be well represented again
@toddlibby @kc_dc would be awesome, very kind of you to offer! Actually moving to Portland area in a month- and am curious if there are any a11y meetups around there you know of. Been assuming ill need to go to Boston for that sorta thing
@vinikloppel@aisolopreneur right lol. Who are we expecting to use Figma now anyways? Regardless of how many AI features are implemented, someone with no design education is going to be overwhelmed stepping into Figma. Only a designer consistently knows if what AI did is good or bad as well.
Working on my portfolio, daily reminder that disabled people buy shit too.
Time to go after the bottom line. Poor a11y has significant business implications
@jameygannon sort of depends on the product and brand goals but with option B the "Rx" aspect is easily glossed over, at least at this size. I don't think either reminds me of TM symbol though. I voted for A
For more info on accessibility overlays and why they are problematic https://t.co/ZST8nfdfye is an amazing collection of information from a11y industry leaders
Some great SWAG from the CSUN conference. Overlay companies such as AcessiBe, AudioEye, and UserWay are a scourge on the digital world. Especially disabled users and the well-intentioned companies who are tricked into using their services only to get sued.
Last year, 4.5k digital accessibility lawsuits were filed, with ~20% targeting companies using overlays. A static button like this on a website often indicates a business/org has been misled into believing a few lines of code will ensure ADA and WCAG compliance
