A 64-metre red thread was laid near #VictoriaPark in Causeway Bay, #HongKong — the traditional gathering point for #June4 vigils.
Artist Sanmu Chen was stopped by police shortly after beginning the piece, marking 37 years since the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown.
He said: “When everything you say and do is monitored, it’s not normal.”
A brief act of remembrance. A shrinking space for expression.

@POTUS: "I'll speak to him. I speak to everybody. We have that situation very well in hand. We had a great meeting with President Xi... we'll work on that, the Taiwan problem."

Reporter: Would the US defend Taiwan if it came to it?
Trump: I don't want to say that. I'm not going to say that.
That question was asked to me today by President Xi. I said, “I don't talk about those.”
Reporter: He asked you if you would send troops?
Trump: He asked me if I'd defend them. I said, “I don't talk about that.”
There were talkers that China changed Rubio’s Chinese name translation from 卢比奥 to 鲁比奥 to subtly lift its sanctions against him.
While it sounded fun, it’s NOT TRUE!
There’re multiple variations of Rubio’s translation back in 2020: including 卢比奥, 鲁比奥, and even 卢比欧!
