amazing genre of tweet right now that's like "as war rages, the heroism of the Ukrainian people stands in stark contrast to how much this random group of people I hate, who have nothing to do with the conflict, totally suck"
@aswinn You’re right Allison, the people who force toddlers to mask to make them feel safe would definitely mobilize a citizen’s army if we were being invaded.
@the_americangrl My friend told me her 4th grader’s teacher said they didn’t know how to spell worlds bc autocorrect would help them, they just needed to know how to “find” the right spelling. She’s homeschooling now (for many other reasons as well)
@ManofillRepute@thomaschattwill@CathyYoung63 A lot of people on Twitter seem to think the same people who hid for two years and demanded toddlers mask would bravely defend their country if they had to.
@AllieCrenshaw12 I love how they’ve twisted this. No Ida, this is all showing us that people in the world have real problems and you spent two years freaking out over a virus with a 99.8% survival rate.
@CrenshawPhD It wasn’t until college microbiology I learned was pasteurization meant. I thought it had something to do with the animals being raised in a pasture. My family kept heifers, I did dairy 4-H and had several family members who were dairy farmers. I should’ve known better.
@philthatremains Nope. Sorry. After two years of a virus that uniquely affects the obese I’m so done with this. There is something you can do, it’s gonna be hard but figure it out and take some responsibility.
For those asking for clarification. Thinking is a natural process. “Critical thought” is knowledge applied to that process. We must give students content worth thinking about

The most important thing you do w/ your time in history, no matter how great or small your influence, is bear the truth abt reality. In a post-truth culture, grounding yourself in the natural, created order of things is critical. Tell the truth while you have breath to tell it.
@AllieCrenshaw12 Yup! Thankfully they humor me and listen. It’s not that they don’t agree, but they don’t give it the same headspace as I do(probably better for their mental health tbh)
