Sigma just released the 'successor' of the still immensely popular 18-35 f/1.8: the all new 17-40 f/1.8 for APSC-cameras. Price: €999. Check out @jsattin's review of the lens: https://t.co/O0nQhsKn5v
@Pat_Cormick Unfortunately I don’t have a Komodo to test it. I have heard it’s gotten better with the newest firmware but I haven’t tried it. Probably still not mirrorless level.
@ZackMorrison18 So happy to hear you have been enjoying the videos. The R5C will be a great camera for years. I’m keeping mine to go alongside the R5II. Also, hit me up sometime, it would be cool to figure how to collaborate on something.
@ZackMorrison18 Thanks @ZackMorrison18 I took down the livestream down out of habit. I usually leave my weekly livestreams up for a week. After seeing this I just made last week’s livestream about the R5II available again. I realized there was a lot of good info in there.
@Pat_Cormick Using a speedbooster is personal preference and which lenses you have. There are pros and cons. Here is my video about it: https://t.co/B7YvsjeyH2
@Pat_Cormick Here is my take on it: https://t.co/BySLUg2M1D
There is no right or wrong decision. Pros and cons for what is more important to you and your needs.
@Pat_Cormick No IBIS is a pro or con depending on what you are doing. Every camera has limitations and you learn what they are. Would I like Clog2 and more dynamic range? Of course.
@chrisbrockhurs Yup. It's personal preference but I think most people use a fluid head over a gimbal head for video. For video you definitely need a pretty beefy tripod so that it doesn't flex when panning and tilting. Also a nice fluid head that can handle the weight. I shoot handheld now.
@ZackMorrison18 Sorry I had to go and look this up. I set it up a while ago. Synology Hybrid Raid (SHR). It’s what made the most sense at the time. It has a 1 drive fault tolerance. I wanted to have some extra protection in case one drive failed.
@ZackMorrison18 It’s full with 4x12TB and 2x16TB. I started with the 12s and then went to 16s. I still have storage left. When it fills up I’ll either cull some stuff and/or add the expansion box.
