@spoonus@British_Airways@BA_USA Use your UK to Europe adapter and then you can turn it upside down. You had everything you needed in your laptop bag, just not the brains to use it.
@VolodyaTretyak Labour arenโt polling well and have had large losses in local elections under the current leadership, so they are changing the leadership hoping that the new incumbent will be better for them on the long term.
All leading up to the next general election.
@VolodyaTretyak A quirk of British politics. The government is formed by the party with a majority of seats in parliament. The leader of the party becomes the Prime Minister, but, if the party decides to change the party leadership, the Prime Minister changes.
@piersmorgan Itโs largely due to not understanding the nature of the victory; it was a vote away from the Conservative government rather than a vote for the Labour Party. Diane Abbot worked it out, but not many other Labour MPs have.
Just to remind these same folk:
Youโve not lifted 1/2m kids out of poverty. Youโve just moved them over a bureaucratic line on a Whitehall spreadsheet.
Your โworkers rightsโ are destroying entry-level jobs, hitting young people disproportionately, where unemployment is now over 16%.
You have not transformed the NHS. Itโs still the same old wheezing leviathan, just with a lot more dosh and still dismal productivity.
And youโve nationalised steel and rail before. It was not the prelude to an economic or industrial miracle. Plus you will now have to include their demands for capital/subsidies among all the other priorities already crowding in on the public purse.
Other than that your reminder was useful. Thank you.
ยฃ5.6 billion more than โthe ยฃ17.7 billion forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility, the UKโs independent fiscal watchdog.โ
Do they ever get this right?
A welcoming present just out this morning for a Mr A Burnham to underline just how limited his latitude as PM will be:
The UK government borrowed ยฃ23.3 billion last month, 30 per cent or ยฃ5.4 billion higher than a year earlier.
It was also more than the ยฃ18.8 billion expected by most economists and the ยฃ17.7 billion forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility, the UKโs independent fiscal watchdog.
ย The interest payable on government debt rose to ยฃ11.7 billion, the highest ever recorded in any May.
I believe that @Keir_Starmer will find out that @AndyBurnhamGM wants to have a big role in government, just possibly a slightly bigger role than the one heโs thinking of offering! ๐คฃ
๐ฃ๏ธ 'I want Andy Burnham to have a big role in government.'

@KirstieMAllsopp I don't see it as an either/or thing. My kids are my responsibility and it's up to me how much or how little they are allowed to use devices, as well as which Apps they use. It's ok for gov'ts to advise, but it should not be up to them to decide these things instead of parents.
@SimchaReal@YoungBobRB Bunch of sad people using violence against a teenager who just wanted to talk.
The so called anti racist far left wing people have serious issues.
The government has now adopted two fundamentally contradictory positions:
First, that 16 and 17-year olds are mature enough to vote.
Second, that 16 and 17-year olds are not mature enough to manage their own social media use.
โSir Keir said he was "really pleased" the two countries had reaffirmed their commitment to the Gcap fighter jet programme being developed alongside Italy.โ
An early leak of the DIP content?
@yogeshtwet The US negotiated the end of WWII:
The United States dropped "Little Boy" on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, followed by "Fat Man" on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. These bombings forced Japan's surrender.
@afneil Lots of responses focusing on their opinion of Brexit and completely ignoring the actual point that the BBC is failing in its duty to be impartial.
They should seek people of differing opinions for debate, not just people with the same opinions in an echo chamber.
