That’s been around for a while. We just recently cleared out my MIL’s things after she passed and there was a ton of this material from paving stones which said peace, or, joy, or hope, or little plaques with aphorisms on them. If I had to guess, I’d suggest that these are related to both the “self-help” movement and/or late 20th women’s spirituality movements. I have seen regional variants of this sold in the South with things like GRITS (girls raised in the South) on them over the years.
