#NaNoWriMo 50,313 words as of today. Mission accomplished! Maybe one day, this hot garbage in a dumpster fire will get a fresh coat of paint and see the light of day, but for now it goes into the archives. Good luck to everyone else. Two days to go. You can do it! #amwriting
Writing a tavern scene for #NaNoWriMo and was looking in amazon prime music for bard-type music. Stumbled across Ancient Bards, which sounds like epic music meets speed metal. Not bard tavern music, but it is surprisingly good for fantasy-based #writing inspiration.
Over the weekend I decided to try my hand at painting something from my #wip. This is the university library from the #sff novel I #amwriting. It sits on an island off the eastern coast of the main kingdom.
@raechelsymonne@JustinRJahnke After rewriting my #wip four times, I now track draft number per chapter in a spreadsheet. The highest number is 8, but I’m pretty sure it’s higher than that. Haven’t been as diligent in updating the number lately.
@madelyngreyauth Good to know, thanks! I was going to try the traditional route first. Still got a long ways to go before I’m ready to start querying, but it’s interesting to hear about other author’s experiences before I start trying.
@madelyngreyauth Thanks! It ties into the ending, so ultimately my decision will hinge on if the betas like the ending. Just started the process about a month ago and I haven’t had a beta get that far yet. I’ll keep the query suggestion in mind too. I hadn’t though about that.
