AIIMS Bilaspur on papers agrees it doesn’t maintain any document on duty hours and week of resident doctors. So we can confidently tell that it has a lot to hide such as 24- 36 hours duty and no week off is given.
Despite brand names AIIMS never follow any government norms and doesn’t have any shame to confess it on paper. All credit goes to NMC which never bothered about such crucial things
Exploitative PGIMER brags and boasts about structured exploitation of 12 hours using same number of residents without hiring additional regular junior and senior residents. Also PGIMER has been always resisting to give information on number of residents that quit the course and took psychiatric counselling.
PGIMER is famous for illegal & inhumane duty hours & unbearable workload of residents
NMC sets 12 hour as the maximum whereas PGIMER makes it as default. By the way what about success rate of surgeries and satisfaction level of poor patients? No one has any clue
PGIMER neither maintains duty hour’s compliance data nor conducts workload audits. Busy in squeezing junior residents 24 to 36 hours till they run away from the Institute or become psychiatric patients
AIIMS Nagpur refuses to give information on permanent staff strength in various clinical departments describing it as abuse of RTI act and no public interest is involved. It means AIIMS can have 30 % to 40% vacancies and fill all posts by 3 months & 6 months “use and throw” Non-academic JR & Non- academic SR
I don’t understand what personal interest an applicant can have in this information and why AIIMS is scared to disclose sanctioned and existing strength of permanent staff?
AIIMS Bilaspur says that it doesn’t have duty doctors, medical officers, duty doctors & consultants on permanent role. Why??
Why these central & state government medical college hires every staff except doctor’s on regular roles?
1) To squeeze the PGs 24-72 hours till suicide
2) To consolidate the position of toxic senior doctors gang that is lobbying for HoD / Dean / Director or head of any useless NTF
3) To push the common poor patients towards corporate hospitals by intentionally not filling MBBS & PG candidates on regular role and diluting the quality patient care by floating population of 6 months – one year adhoc JRs& SRs.
But why the senior doctors are tight lipped? This is the concern they have for patients’ care and their team.
AIIMS Nagpur says that it has no nurses on contract. Almost all central & state government medical colleges hires nurses only on regular basis. But why UG & PG doctors are hired only under use & through adhoc basis in the name of non-academic junior resident & non -academic senior residents ? Fund shortage?
How does the fund selectively fall deficit only for doctors? Not at all. It is the colonial mentality of senior doctors that do not want to see anyone under them in a permanent role. How can one squeeze a regular employee from 24 to 36 hours that too when they do not have internal marks & thesis.
But these toxic senior doctors in the management feel happy only if they see young doctors sleep & food deprived. Then only they get the feel of Sultans. So far no senior doctors opened their mouths to hire permanent doctors whereas nurses unions create chaos if contract hiring is discussed.
Without knowing this dark reality , PG medical students are working 24 to 36 hours, missing two meals and sleep in the pretext of hardworking, rigorous learning & legitimate interests of patients
@Pinacodalda It means doctor's need to be paid more to stop attrition. It is necessary. If an meritorious talented , skilled professional is paid well, it really serves our Nation
AIIMS Bhopal says they have no contract nurse. Not only AIIMS Bhopal, almost all central & state government medical colleges hires nurses only on regular basis.
