It was a privilege to meet Mr. John Mai, IFS, the newly appointed Protector General of Emigrants (PGE) and Joint Secretary, MEA-OE, in Delhi, for a meaningful and productive discussion on key issues concerning international workforce mobility.
Our conversation focused on the challenges faced by emigrants and stakeholders, and on the collective responsibility to further strengthen a legal, ethical, transparent, and compliance-driven migration ecosystem.
We also underscored the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement with destination countries to streamline procedures, facilitate smoother workforce mobility, and expand meaningful opportunities for Indian professionals and skilled workers abroad.
