@minchoi anyone compare deepseek 14b (i'll run on 16 gb ram macbook) to gpt 1o or 4o ? im guessing the accuracy difference also depends on the questions asked?
Whatever you now find weird, ugly, uncomfortable and nasty about a new medium will surely become its signature. CD distortion, the jitteriness of digital video, the crap sound of 8-bit - all of these will be cherished and emulated as soon as they can be avoided. It’s the sound of failure: so much modern art is the sound of things going out of control, of a medium pushing to its limits and breaking apart. The distorted guitar sound is the sound of something too loud for the medium supposed to carry it. The blues singer with the cracked voice is the sound of an emotional cry too powerful for the throat that releases it. The excitement of grainy film, of bleached-out black and white, is the excitement of witnessing events too momentous for the medium assigned to record them.

@codelanta @Lunakepio this makes sense to me.. unless you really need some react libraries?? but I totally feel your comment for my current interactive project. Think I could've gone without it, but now that I'm making it a full site with multiple pages, so glad it's in react
So last year @Wayfair, an $8B company, launched their own AI interior design tool
This week someone at Wayfair asked me to cancel their subscription of https://t.co/1oqUgfD6CZ, which is my AI interior design tool launched 2 years ago
I was confused why would they sign up to it if they have their own? Well, because they signed up to it before they had their own and used it to build their version of it! 😂
They had 8 different accounts on Interior AI that ran for months 🤯
I learnt a bit about competitive spying today!
Told ya the big companies were checking what indie hackers did, that was my entire point when I said "indie hacking is dead", we're part of the big market now where billion dollar companies are INSIDE our apps!
@Lunakepio @anonthedev oh yes im using useframe for my first threejs project. but it might not be convenient/possible to tie everything into your useframe. and i assume that it's probably not best to have too many useframes or requestAnimationFrames (which useframe seems to be pretty much)
@Lunakepio maybe someone can enlighten me, but do games with react usually rely on states? wouldn't react's state management get in the way of all the real time updates in game? new to react but would love to know how this is dealt with
Here's a demo showing how material properties can be packed into a data texture so thousands of objects with unique material properties can be rendered in a single draw call with #threejs's BatchedMesh. With more effort this can support unique textures, too!
