Mobile Monday in Pre-k. From morning provocation exploration, to weeding the garden beds, to returning to class to reflect, and the visiting the school library. In the school library we listen to Ms. Barao read a story and taught us how to create leaf rubbings.@VBPreK@vbHolland
Beautiful day for another adventure in Pre-k. Student had lunch with their families, received their certificates, and enjoyed Field day.@vbHolland@VBPreK@VBTitleI
Today was the best day for kite flying in Pre-K. Students decorated their homemade kites. They had fun exploring ways for the kites to take flight with help from the wind. They even had to problem solve kites getting tangled. So much fun.@vbHolland@VBPreK@VBTitleI
Today for Thinking Thursday, we looked at the painting "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. We discussed how we felt, ask questions of what we observed, and what we thought. Then we tried to recreate our own version of the painting. It was fun.@vbHolland@VBPreK@VBTitleI
Learning is fun in Pre-k. We started at the library to listen to a story and look at baby chicks that just hatched from an egg, went on a nature walk around the school, mixed colors like the Mixed Up Chamleon, and made symmetry butterfly paintings. @VBPreK@vbHolland@VBTitleI
A wonder of words Wednesday. We started our day off with a school-wide Vocabulary Parade at Holland Elementary. @VBPreK@vbHolland@VBTitleI @MsBaraoReads

Read Across America in Pre-K with guest readers. Ms. D. Hawkins read ABC by Dr. Seuss where we learned new words that started with the letters. Mr. Ivy read Be You by Peter Reynolds and we made connections to being the best you in school. @VBPreK@vbHolland @MsBaraoReads
Today's Virginia Reader's Choice story is Hugo and the Impossible Thing. We learned how with support of teachers and family we can make the impossible possible. We shared things we want to learn more about. @VBPreK@vbHolland@VBTitleI @MsBaraoReads
Pre-k students and their parents enjoyed the Classroom In Action event to participate in our stations and a lesson. Thank you to our Family Engagement specialist Tonya Evans. @vbHolland@VBPreK@VBTitleI
