@rajeshworld@Svitoflopina Yes, but Med would still be the number 2 player. So, Rijthoven would’ve beaten the number 2 player. But anyone who watched Rijthoven play last week, wasn’t surprised that he won the tournament. He has an excellent game suited for grass. Med is not at his best on grass or clay.
@rajeshworld@Svitoflopina Plus, Med is also a specialty player. It just so happens that his court specialty is the majority of the tennis tournaments that allowed him to reach #1.

The selection committee tries to keep a lot of teams closer to home, but sometimes it’s not practical for seeding.
@kvituruza I am confused. People were complaining last month that there were more atp tournaments than wta, and now it’s that there are too many wta tournaments.
