Not a great week for my writing… Didn’t make it through the @BBNYA_Official first round sift, and got my first 1-star review on Goodreads 😢 Looks like it is time to grit my teeth and try again! #fortheloveofwriting Thanks to all the readers who have supported me!

Reflecting on the 41 books I’ve read this year, a meagre amount compared to earlier years, but I have been busy!
These were the top three books that I have read in 2023!
What were some of your favourite reads this year?
To my rather imperfect memory I haven’t read it, but having just seen the synopsis I can certainly appreciate the comparison! As for inspirations, gosh, it’d be lovely to DM about it (though I’m awfully slow responding). There’s this Q&A I did for a reviewer that might help https://t.co/XEJdJ6Pdu1
@thisone0verhere I have many, but certainly the most original was ‘When The Rains Came Down’ by @jshaw_author
It isn’t often I read a book that is truly unique, and recalled (for me) both C. S. Lewis’, ‘The Great Divorce’ and Philip Pullman’s, ‘His Dark Materials’.
@Gibbothegreat@booksprout Wow! Thank you @Gibbothegreat for this fantastic review! I am delighted that you enjoyed your time. Thanks for giving me a chance 😊
