That's actually the best defense of reparations I've heard ... The problem is everyone (for the most part) starts at zero and has to figure it out and the economy has been crap for everyone since the 90's. No one alive today and most likely not even your grandparents actually had to live without those rights. And to tell a present day white person they owe someone something for stuff over 150 years ago doesn't work except for the woke liberal crowd. America is about equal opportunity and level playing field... I know you're not bringing up DEI but all that did was force institutions to be racist against white people thinking they needed to suppress people in order to lift another group of people. And it was dangerous because they were hiring unqualified people only based on race over qualified white men (best example is LA fire department).
Summary, lol, reparations don't make sense because "Who actually legitimately owes them?" You can't just point at skin color and making States pay them will just make tax payers mad

This could be a dangerous topic, but ... Human rights, politics, personal freedom, liberty, property rights, religious compatibility ... Making it the most fair and safe system possible while not restricting personal freedoms but still allowing for economic incentive to be productive (basically functioning capitalism). I'm no expert in any of these, but they're all obviously connected
