Hey @ClaringtonON with the new park upgrades https://t.co/uekN80GTGN What happens to the stuff being removed, any chance it would be available for residents to purchase, and re-use/re-purpose?
@ToonTownDano@bruceanderson I mean, they didn't debate because JJ wouldn't. In many cases he didn't even answer questions from local media. All I was saying was the CPC did all they had to do, and IMO Liberals, and NDP didn't even try, they just made it look like they tried.
@tomflood1 I chuckled at this. Because in some kind of crazy ironic twist Bowmanville built a brand new Rona, that never opened....in the years it sat vacant we would go there to practice riding bikes with the boys....and in another less fun twist it is now a massive car dealership.
@tyromper I get the boys outside for 10 minutes before our 10-15 minute walk to school and I know it makes a difference....and the 20-30 minute roundtrip walk for me is a literal breath of fresh air.
@StanChoMPP Stan, these comments are really rough, maybe you should listen to us and:
🟠Hire the inspectors your boss promised he would
🟠Repeal Bill 124 and start paying/treating long-term care workers with respect
🟠Hold the bad actors in for-profit long-term care accountable
Peterborough - take notice.
Your MP votes against affordable housing measures, and talks down Canada’s National Housing Strategy in Ottawa, but shows up for the photo opps, and takes credit for the funding when she’s back in Peterborough.
@Dynastus Ha. We have gotten places a few times and not had shoes on. Always have to remember they are still kids. Dad....you said get in the car....you actually never said get shoes on and get in the car. HA
@tomflood1 This is something I always thought Toronto got right with the Skydome. I know there are surface lots, and parking lots under the dome etc but it is/was integrated into the community for the most part.
@jbcurio I often find people that complain about teachers, have zero interest in being one because "I could never spend all day dealing with other peoples kids." But they can tell how over-paid/lazy they are. Classic no-win situation with those people.
A rather brilliant thread. In summary, when doing complex and risky things, there is no role for economy class. Just like in health care, when profit is your motive, people die.
@Bowmanvillain @ClaringtonON I saw somewhere (and I cannot for the life of me find it now) an account that was using paint to turn them into flowers. The boys and I might have to head out and do this here.....
Unrelated, why was the road closed for 5 days, I saw it closed and thought it was strange.
