Studying flash cards before bed in the hopes of dreaming up all the answers to the final tomorrow LOL #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

I don't want to believe the gender discrimination or Dumbledore hiding things because it makes me feel like my childhood was a lie #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

It's crazy how much more complex Harry Potter is than my 6 year old self thought when I first read it #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

He is later scolded by adults for his bravery/rebellion, but I still think it's an attempt at child centered writing #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

I like how Harry demonstrates agency not only within his friend group, but by going against adults and their societal rules #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Excited to read Harry Potter for the third time #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

So many more complexities in Walk Two Moons than I thought #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Walk Two Moons is definitely one of the most child centered books we have read this semester #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Even though Esperanza is a stagnant selfish character she allows herself to change to help someone she loves which is progress #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Probably because back then I was surrounded by classmates who were entitled brats like her so her attitude didn't phase me #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

I definitely find Esperanza more annoying now then I did when I read this book in middle school #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

It's interesting how their mom tries to hide the violence from the kids, but their father wants them to hear about it #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Love how the mother sticks up for her kids by covering the chart inside the book! Good to see people stick up to authority. #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Forgot how sad the end of Bridge to Teribithia was #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Even the Disney version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland weirded me out #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Didn't realize how complex a children's story could be #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Reading Where the Wild Things Are brings back so many childhood memories #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Nonetheless I really enjoyed the book and think it would be a great read for children #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

It's interesting how Baseball Saved Us masked the horrors of internment camps behind an inspiring children's book #engl501

[Jenny @jshrank3]

Dedicating my Saturday to baseball 👍
