We did a good thing for someone who really needed help. Getting clients to a place where they can live as comfortably as possible often seems an impossible task. But sometimes, hard work pays off.
Past results do not guarantee future success.
Under S.244, drunk driving victims get less justice while billion-dollar insurance companies get discounts on payouts.
Why? Because insurance giants literally wrote the bill.
This isn't reform - it's a corporate bailout at victims' expense.

South Carolina GOP leadership has abandoned its voters for insurance industry cash.
They're pushing the same "tort reform" that failed Florida - where premiums INCREASED while claim denials skyrocketed.
Real conservatives protect citizens' rights, not corporate profits.
This is so gross.
The @scgop and @scsenategop in South Carolina have sold their souls to insurance companies and globalist, woke corporations. RINOs post crap like this after they line their pockets with deep corporate cash from insurance lobbyists. 💰
Too many @NikkiHaley holdovers and Never Trumpers in South Carolina, like SC Senate Majority Leader @shanemassey are a part of this problem that plagues the GOP in South Carolina.
This is not American First. This is not MAGA! 🇺🇸
South Carolina should learn its lesson from Florida on this “tort reform” nonsense and investigate these insurance companies NOW before South Carolina is ravaged the same way Florida has been by insurance company bailouts thanks to many of the greedy Republicans in our legislature, as well as our Governor @GovRonDeSantis who relied on the insurance companies to fund his Presidential campaign to hell.
@RomReddySC Nope. That is not what Joint and Several means at all. There is never joint or several liability in SC for a party who did not cause the harm. Also, neither GA nor FL adheres to pure several liability. #TruthMatters
@RomReddySC Also painfully incorrect. That is not how insurance rates are set; the SC Department of Insurance has no power at all to intervene in commercial insurance rates; their profits are not regulated; and none of this misinformation is why states adopt liability laws. #truthmatters
@RomReddySC Saying that the current tort reform bill, S 244, "returns power and money back to the people" shows profound ignorance. It keeps homeowners from enforcing building codes, patients from preventing medical fraud, and policy holders from pursuing insurance claims. #TruthMatters
“Grassroots?” this millionaire beach DHEC dodger can’t be serious.
Nobody in the grassroots of Republican circles knows who this guy is.
Now, moneybags wants to shift money from victims to big insurance—doesn’t sound very DOGE to me.
In fact, it sounds like he and the people in favor of S.244 should be “DOGED” instead. (or primaried).
It's quite amazing to see senators refusing to vote on a commonsense bill that helps SC citizens because it doesn't include insurance company bailouts.
According to the 2023 SEI Lobbyist Report, South Carolina Senator Russell Ott was paid $75,000 by South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance for “consulting services” through his company, Center Hill Consulting.
