I am excited to share that I have joined Finder, as a social media intern as part of Boston University’s abroad program in Australia. I am greatly excited to spend this semester developing my social media skillset and working with some of the best minds in the industry.
I am hopeful to still use this account beyond CM 331 to stay informed on current events in the PR world and also pop culture. I apologize now if I am tweeting about Ariana Grande's tour in 7 months and accidentally put #2025CM331 by habit. @MGDowding
As 2026 approaches, I would like to recognize girl group #KATSEYE as my top pick for best PR of the year. From their viral gap ad to creating the perfect mix of trend and business on their social media pages, they have skyrocketed to fame. #2025CM331@MGDowding
Extra conscious of what my last tweet will be because the most recent one will be the most seen on the widget and will lure my website-goers to this page. Is this the same struggle of finding a strong email subject line? #2025CM331@MGDowding
It’s wild that major holidays Thanksgiving, Spotify Wrapped, Christmas and New Year’s all happen so close together. I wonder if the streams from my Yeti Arctic portable cooler count toward my Spotify data. #2025CM331@MGDowding
The well-thought-out marketing for "Wicked: For Good" is definitely what made me go see all 4 hours and 57 minutes of both parts. It certainly has nothing to do with Ariana Grande playing the lead role... #2025CM331@MGDowding
This ad in Fenway caught my attention. The small "likely the" tucked to the side of "best snack ever" really saves it from being overdone. #2025CM331@MGDowding
I find it interesting that since we learned about it in class, I’ve only seen ads in all uppercase letters. It’s funny how we deem that okay, but if I tweet in all caps I WILL SEEM A LITTLE CRAZY. #2025CM331@MGDowding
Appreciate that the Blackboard "weekly readings" page knows when to spell out numbers and when to use numerals according to AP style. #2025CM331@MGDowding
Taylor Swift has released her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. I’m honestly glad I couldn't use it for my arts review, because I’m not sure I could set aside my Swiftie bias. #CM331@MGDowding
While working on this week’s review assignment, I found myself wanting to edit direct song lyric quotes to make them grammatically correct. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. #CM331@MGDowding
