“China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also - And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran…” - President Donald J. Trump
@realKunalAShah Unfortunately, it was clear to most that there was no 5d chess playing from Trump. Now we will end up with a significantly worse deal than JCPOA.
@gammalab_tweets "That's the good news. The bad news: Both papers conclude that tariffs tend to hurt the economy and that a blow to consumer and business demand likely explains why the impact on inflation is so limited."

@jaredhstocks Additionally, the migration from AC to principal protected structures eliminates the D&I that causes that standard bump in Vega profile you showed.
Caveat: There could always be other monsters lurking beneath the surface that I’m unaware of!
@jaredhstocks Im saying that 2020’s covid crash also corresponded with more exo strategies like capped/uncapped and cross corridor in additional to the standard AC from all regions (amer, eu, Asia) that still had issues from the lower rate environment.
It’s much cleaner now to say the least.
@realKunalAShah Maybe I’d rephrase with: they are valid concerns/points, but in line with his negotiating style (“I win, you lose”), his execution on them is extremely broad, sloppy, and short-sighted. Introducing volatility as an actor to negotiations isn’t “strategic.”
@InfinityTradesX That’s not correct. The straddle break even and implied vol are undoubtedly related but event implied vol is calculated with a forward vol calculation using variance and day count differentials.
