@DynastyDadFF Was offered 1.02 1.04 1.08 and maybe some change fot Chase. I am a contender but weak at QB / TE. 12 team SF TEP. Hold the 1.07. What would it take for you move Chase?
Notes:
The main difference in 2025 vs 2024 technically for Christian was in holding winners for much longer, and really keeping the monthly drawdowns within the 5% band.
- Biggest Winners: ABVX, INSM, IREN, USAR, PL
- Biggest Losers (tilt being the main reason): CRWV, PONY
> Room for improvement in 2026: Identifying persistent trenders vs EC boosters (USAR as an example)
> Pro Athlete vs Pro Trader: For traders the edge is all in the mental game
- Christian has begun to journal extensively - the introspection helped massively in dealing with the 'pains' of trading
- Mark Douglas: "Trading from a carefree state of mind" is when you begin to trade at peak performance
> Episodic Pivots: (1) Huge gap of 10% or more, (2) Through a basing/sideways period (neglect) into new highs (ideally all-time highs), (3) Gapping on game changing catalysts [*Note* TTRH Stockbee EP substack bookmarked on Chris's google chrome -> Re-read it]
> When studying examples of the greatest winners, episodic pivots often marks the start of a new trend, not the end of it (BB at 2003 as an example)
> 30% of Christian's trades were EPs, but it seems like a disproportionate amount of it were the source of his gains in 2025
> Identifying Relative Strength: Market corrections where individual stocks are showing technical strength and near all-time highs are where the biggest winners are
> Trading is a journey inward, it's all about self-reflection and finding more about yourself - self-awareness is the key to trading proficiency
> Confronting your fears:
- "The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away." - Leland Val Van De Wahl
- (1) Review past trades, (2) Admit to yourself your strengths and weaknesses, (3) Acknowledge your fears
- "You have to be honest about yourself. You have to be, because otherwise, how are you going to perform at a high level? […] If you want to be able to perform at a high level, you have to be willing to face your mistakes head on and overcome them, and face your fears. And a lot of my fear in relation to trading was losing my family. I was always afraid of losing all my money, blow up my account, and lose my wife and kids. But once I was able to acknowledge that, and admit it to myself […] when you act out of fear, this is why. The fear isn't random, there is something deeper happening inside of you, that is causing you to behave in ways that are irrational. There is a reason behind the action you are doing (in relation to trading) and the sooner you can acknowledge, and accept them, and overcome them, this will take trading to another level." - Christian Flanders
> Book Recommendations: High Performance Trading (Steve Ward)
> It's a marathon, not a sprint. Think the long game. It's all about consistency and compounding.
> Focus on gratitude, forgive yourself!
Wall Street doesn’t care about 2030 right now.
They care about the next 12 months and where AI dollars actually convert into revenue.
Mag 7 capex for 2026 is tracking toward $600B. That money is going somewhere. The market wants the most direct, measurable ROI from that spend.
Right now, that visibility is in hardware.
And hardware isn’t just GPUs.
It’s:
Compute
Memory
Optics / Networking
Testing
Packaging
Analog / Power
Equipment
When $600B gets deployed into data centers, you immediately see orders, backlog, utilization, pricing power. Analysts can model that. Institutions can underwrite that.
Software is different. The ROI on AI spent is longer duration. Add competitive pressure from new model launches like Claude, and multiples compress.
So the rotation makes sense:
AI capex - clear revenue impact in semis
AI capex - uncertain near-term payoff in software
For now, money is flowing where ROI is visible.
@DrSuneelDhand I agree—metabolic health matters most, and I’d prefer lifestyle over meds. But my Lp(a) is 205 and my CAC is 299 at age 46. My metabolic markers are solid, inflammation low, HDL/TG < 1, and I don’t smoke. I don’t want a statin, but what do when I can’t fix with lifestyle alone?

Fear forces short-term, panic decisions. You need unshakable confidence to be able to sit for the long term and realize maximum gain. https://t.co/Te3xPca8dn

@hormonedietdoc Thanks for the reply!
I’ll book some time with you — looking forward to connecting. I don’t have any history of thyroid issues, so I’m not sure what triggered this. My T4 is 1, my T3 is 2.6, and I’m getting my reverse T3 checked next week.
