The @Italic_Type iOS app went live in the App Store last night!

It’s the authentically simple book tracking, note taking, + group reading app loved by avid readers and authors.

We’re excited to make it more accessible for more readers. Check it out! https://t.co/BAOqsdKBsS

@rob5d4 Physics for sure. It’s so hard to find that stuff and it’s great. I’ve found a few old YouTube rips but would love to buy it.

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@NuxtNation I can't seem to access the conference. It's just continually loading forever. Any updates?

@whalesalad Love this idea! I would certainly be into this. I’ll even stop using nano 😂

Our friend Sam passed away tonight hit by a car on his bicycle. He was a few blocks away from his house.

All he ever did was try to help people. Truly. It’s a huge loss for Chicago. And what the hell is up with cyclist deaths in this city. https://t.co/zqtjSyZA0s

[Bike Lane Uprising® @bikelaneuprise]

9 people have been killed biking or riding scooters in Chicago this year. There are still 4 months left in the year. I remember when 5 was a devastating total for the year😞

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@bigdillinger @bikelaneuprise He was one of the best dudes I know. Really sad day.

[Emily Achler @ea_sportz]

Every day, but esp today - my birthday - is a great day to sign up for or return to @Italic_Type.

- Simple technology for humans who love books.
- A cozy reading nook, but in an app.
- The clean, cool online home for books you've been looking for ---> https://t.co/PaeMyV7kPD

We need to think of each other as sisters and brothers, and to be concerned with each other’s welfare. We must seek to lessen the suffering of others. Rather than working to acquire wealth, we need to do something meaningful, directed toward the welfare of humanity as a whole.

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@whalesalad I’d have a puppers

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@whalesalad Even worse when it breaks legacy systems that we’re working before you upgraded, and you were just trying to install wget or something stupid.

There is generally more murder in cities subjected to the Red America gun policy regime — Republicans haven't come up with some magic formula they're just good at taking advantage of the fact that the media is disproportionately focused on a handful of cities.

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@whalesalad I’ve been feeling this a lot lately. Today I was thinking about turning off IntelliSense because it seems to interfere with my flow more than it helps. I end up hitting ESC a lot to dismiss it. Probably the latency is this I would guess.

[Jason Skicewicz @jskitz]

@whalesalad Dog Dad mug filled with coffee so black, it resembles tar... that's how it's done!

[Italic Type @Italic_Type]

Today is heartbreaking and painful.

But watching the news or doing the endless scroll won't help.

There are two important Qs: Why does this keep happening? What can prevent it from happening again?

As to the first - here are some books that can start to fill in the answers.
