@DrDebraSoh loved your audible book. Just heard about @PeterSinger and colleague’s new @journalofcontoversialideas. https://t.co/w2lhORqx1f. Great place to post more of your material! Like an analysis of ANU “chest milk” and “non-gestational parent”!
@DrDebraSoh Debra...just finished your excellent book (but with it’s real but depressing last chapter...how do we fix this PC world?!) I just read Masha Gessen’s article quoting the research by Harper. Is this reliable? Sounds wrong. : https://t.co/jcrovBEeLD
@renato_mariotti I think what he implied was that whatever the death rate would be, closing schools would only reduce that by 2-3%. So if death rate with schools open would be 0.1%, then closing schools only changes that to 0.098%...and is that worth it?
@geoffreyhinton Depends on how gracefully the AI performance degrades on its boundaries. Remember Watson's erroneous "Toronto"?
It's not only 90% vs 80% correct, but what's in the 10% failures for AI and 20% for humans. If there are no "toronto"-like errors, then I am supportive.
If you got “inside” the ecosystems of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis etc…what would you ask for?

@laowhy86@serpentza LOVE all of your work! Question: What do you know about LiZiQi? This impossibly beautiful, multi-talented young woman from Sechuan? She posts idyllic videos about traditional Chinese country life, with absolutely stunning photography and videos.
@katlampard ...Hi! I am at your Starbucks. Found something of yours. I am just at Starbucks till 9:30am today. After that I will leave with the Starbucks staff. 1-647-217-5972.
@RationalityRule : Just heard Christian Smith, a sociologist and philosopher from Notre Dame. Wrote "Atheist Overreach: What Atheism Can't Deliver". It is the WORST CASE of straw-manning I have ever heard. I screamed at the radio all the way home. Please critique.
