Dear young people. Don't fall for the lies taught by society:
***LIE 1: There is no meaning to life*** Live a life of purpose and give your life meaning. Find your gift. Overcome difficulty. Then, help others.
***LIE 2: Max pleasure is the goal*** Nope. The goal is to do be good. To do good. And to decrease suffering in the process. Yours and other's.
***LIE 3: Tradition has no value*** To move forward in life, you must recognize that you stand on the shoulder of giants who came before you. Their tradions have utility and wisdom. Honor them.
***LIE 4: Children are a burden*** Our planet needs children to survive. Children are the future. Children renew our world. We need children to turn into the adults who will make our world a better place.
***LIE 5: Marriage is pointless*** Marriage is hard work. Marriage is far more than two people. It forms a home. It protects and raises children. It provides support, commitment, love to the family. It reaches out to help the community. Marriage is the greatest of institutions.
***LIE 6: Religion is worthless*** Religion is the language with which we talk to the Master of the Universe. Religion teaches that all these lies must be corrected. Religion guides us to be charitable and to help fix a broken world.
***LIE 7: Money is everything*** Money is great. Being poor is difficult and painful. But money is not everything. Health is wealth. Mental health. Physical health. Spiritual health. Having meaningful relationships. Intellectual curiosity and honesty. There are so many things far more important than money.
***LIE 8: Career over family*** At the end of your days, a career will not sit by your bedside to love you. At the end of each day, your career will not hugs you. A career is important to give you meaning, sustain you and your family financially, and help you experience life and travel, and give back to those in need. Everyone at work is replaceable. Not family. Family first. Always.
