This doesn’t sit right w/ me. Wanting our queens on an international stage is one thing, but to wish na matalo kasi an international crown supposedly means more? That’s how we make our own scene feel second-class. Our queens deserve to be celebrated here, too. #dragraceph
@shadowofakillah Di naman tungkol kay marina 'to, ikaw nag bring up sa kanya. Tungkol sa mentality na sana di manalo yung bet nila para kunin sa international franchise na para bang sinasabing hindi worth it ang PH Crown.
@shadowofakillah Blueprint of what nga? Blueprint na? Sumali sa local season then magpatalo para maka score ng international invite like marina? Kaya you cant blame the audience na ganon ang gustong trajectory sa mga gusto nilang queens?
Yun nga yunt mindset na kino callout e
@shadowofakillah Yiz, di ko sinabing nanalo si marina. Sinabi kong natalo sya fairly at hindi dahil international marketable sya. Ayan a, elaborated na.
@AliceNotSoWell That’s beside the point. Kung ang sukatan ng relevance ay kung sino ang mas successful abroad, sana hindi na lang tayo nagkaroon ng Drag Race PH. The local crown should mean something too.
@shadowofakillah Blueprint of what? International success? Sure. But she lost to PPN fair and square. Marina becoming an international icon doesn’t retroactively make PPN’s crown less deserved.
@itsjojojhonas True, pwede rin namang sumali to get an international crown in addition sa local crown, like icesis coutoure na sumali ng vs the world although nag back out sya 🙈

U can fault DRPH’s production on so many things, but they always wear their heart on their sleeves. It always tries its best to show the humor, heart, and sheer beauty of Filipino drag queens. Hindi lang basta to manufacture a good tv.
