How the Packers are handling this Josh Jacobs situation is really confusing me.

First off, weird that they didn’t cut him right away, when the info that we got Thursday was released. Green Bay is known as a zero tolerance team for this kind of stuff.

Now, with him on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, it’s extremely weird they aren’t cutting him. They still have to pay him, but he cannot play or practice. He most likely won’t come off of the list until at least his first court date which is in November.

Lastly, regardless of his off the field issues, they were most likely going to cut ties with him at the end of this season.

So now, they are taking on the public backlash of keeping him on the roster. Paying him to not play for at least 10 games this season AND don’t have interest in him after this season?

Am I missing something?? Just very very odd.
