As long as you're still alive and breathing, there's at least a 50% chance that you will make it.
The other 50% of you not making it is solely due to your lack of efforts or luck.
My morning Reflection ๐ค๐ค
This morning, I found myself asking a question I donโt think we ask ourselves enough.
Why do I actually help people?
Is it truly because I want to make a difference in someoneโs life, or is there a part of me that enjoys the recognition that comes with it?
Do I help because I genuinely care, or because I like being seen as the person who comes through when others need help? Do I give because I want to change lives, or because somewhere deep down, I want to be appreciated, celebrated, and remembered?
These questions are uncomfortable, but I ask myself them often.
Because sometimes, doing good publicly can make it difficult to know where genuine selflessness ends and the desire for validation begins.
I know I have helped people, and I know some of those interventions have changed lives. But I also know that having good intentions doesnโt mean the human desire for recognition disappears.
Maybe the real test isnโt whether people praise you for what you do. Maybe itโs whether you would still do it if nobody knew your name, nobody posted about it, and nobody ever said thank you.
Thatโs something Iโm still reflecting on.
Just a quiet Sunday morning conversation with myself.
Sorry to bother you all. โค๏ธ
