Final from PNC Park: Pirates beat the Brewers 3-2 and sweep the doubleheader.
Esmerlyn Valdez homered three times on the day.
Pittsburgh's bullpen produced four scoreless to close the second win.
The Pirates are 49-47, and have a chance at the sweep with Paul Skenes tomorrow.
Tonight's game has been postponed. There will be a doubleheader tomorrow starting at noon.
Two games and the draft. A big day for the Pirates coming up.
An important start for Paul Skenes tonight as he tries to stop a winless streak stretching almost two months. His drought is tied for the 2nd longest by a reigning Cy Young Award winner, just one behind Blake Snell and Jim Perry for the record:

“A goal that I always think about is making the big leagues while I'm still 20 years old. So if I could make it before June 28 of next year, that would be pretty awesome.”

When the Pirates acquired Brandon Lowe, they knew he'd become a veteran among their young core. But in his first year in Pittsburgh, Lowe has already exceeded expectations.
On the Pirates second baseman, who leads the team with 15 homers and is on pace for 100 RBI.

Wrote here a few days ago in our https://t.co/ypZX0ektB6 all-30 how important it was for Davis to heat up in June. Production from the catcher position would make an already good offense great.
