@araeliza Nilagyan ko ng “PA stated he did not want to order COVID testing at this time” tapos yung last documentation ko “PA agreed to test patient after stating that patient also having loss of taste”. Pero dapat matic covid r/o eh. Cough + galing group home + weakness 🙄

PA: naaaah, she’s okay.

Me: she came from a group home too.

PA: that’s okay. The edema and pulmonary htn is causing her to cough.

This is where the system fails us. Healthcare workers should be the one protecting each other... not up-ing each other. I was sitting with my pt in the PACU (our ICU’s overflow), for more than half my shift, because her roommate is trying to self extubate the whole night. Hay.

And 6 hours later.... my patient tells me she’s been having poor appetite due to loss of taste. So just then, the PA ordered COVID testing AND STATED THAT THIS IS ON ME AND MY CHARGE NURSE. I FREAKING TOLD YOU WHEN I GOT HER FROM CATH LAB THAT THE LADY WAS COUGHING HER LUNGS OUT!
